Hello low brass folks. I'm scratching my head wondering how pricing works for tubas.
Look at this:

2145:
4/4 size
4 piston steel valves (Big Valve)
Bore: .748in - .787in
5th valve rotary valve (.807in) thumb operated
Bell diameter: 16.5in $6,495.00

2155:
5/4 size
Model Warren Deck
4 piston steel valves (Big Valve)
Bore: .748in - .787in
5th valve rotary valve (.807in) thumb operated
Bell diameter: 17.5in $8,725.00

2165:
6/4 size
4 piston steel valves (Big Valve)
Bore: .748in - .787in
5th valve rotary valve (.807in) thumb operated
Bell diameter: 19.69in
$10,995.00

Now they all have the same bore and construction. I know they play differently but... does it cost so much more to produce a 2165 than a 2145? Would you like to supersize your order Sir? It's just $2200 per inch!

I was not gonna talk about the price difference between the King 2134 and the Conn 56J but what the heck... Same horn just a little shorter... Would you like a fifth valve with your order Sir? It's just $3000 extra...
