yes...to the point that I would know whether I would want to spend another 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour, or forever on it.
(Thank God for their existence, but) when I've visited the large "tuba stores", always out of 30 or so different "professional" tubas, occasionally I'll come across one that is "interesting", but not enough to consider replacing my own - nor interesting enough to spend more the 5 required seconds to play open notes, a few patterns, and check low range response.
