As to horns that don't get that far, I have to agree. I've rejected a number of horns in five seconds. In one case, I bought one just like the one I rejected 15 years earlier in a 5-second test, but that doesn't mean I was wrong on the earlier occasion. It wasn't the horn for me at the time.
When it gets to the finalists, however, more time is needed. And it depends on whether you are shopping to buy or tire-kicking.
