Leadpipes are easily replaceable, as long as your brass tech knows how to bend a straight pitch-filled leadpipe that he can get from Allied.
Thumbrings are comparatively easy to attach--you just have to find one that's comfortable for you. I've a friend who builds his own thumbrings--some of them are so big they look like they could be part of a trailer hitch.
I'm finishing up a 50's O-99, but I may already have a buyer for it.
