When I was 12 years old, I lost my front teeth in a biking accident. I had been a promising player up until then, and I was devastated when it happened. They were able to salvage what I had until I was 16. At 16 they had to pull all my roots out. I played with a flipper (a retainer with teeth)for about 3 years. Then I got implants. Each change gets a little getting use to and each change presented its own challenges. Luckily I was studying at the Cleveland Institute of Music and had great instruction and advice. The best advice I received was to trust my ear and let the air do the work. If the air is working right for you, then you just blow the problems right out of your playing. Also, keep and open mind when you practice. Experiment with different things. And most of all hear how you it to sound before you play. Trust your ear!!!!!! Good luck.
