I have a removeable upper bridge for side and back teeth on both sides. I would be quite uncomfortable and insecure without it, though it did take some getting used to. My dentist designed it very well for minimum palate coverage. No adhesive necessary, it attaches with a couple of clamps. Biggest problem? It makes my mouth go dry when a lot of continuous playing is involved. Fortunately we live in the age of the water bottle everywhere you go. And fortunately nobody in any of my playing venues objects to the occasional discreet swig. Younger readers --- do not neglect your dental hygiene, and do not be dentalphobes. See your dentist for regular twice-a-year check-ups.
