Many others have posted saying that Jake's sound is not characteristic of the US tuba sound. This is something that I get into arguments into with colleaguse at school, so I was hoping for some greater input from anyone who has an opinion. WHAT exactly makes guys like Pokorny or Baer sound better? Personally, I can't get past how much "life" (sorry for the vague term) I hear in Jake's sound and how little I hear in Pokorny's, relative to Jake's. If anyone is brave enough to humor me, let me know what you think!
