Thank you Rick for an EXCELLENT website and an EXCELLENT page on the step-by-step process for upgrading rotary valve linkage. The linkage page is excellent for us DIY tuba players who like to work on our own horns. It is also a great page for band directors who may want to change the linkage on their old school horns.

Short story:
When I was in high school we had a Meinl Weston rotary valve tuba that had a nice sound. Unfortunately, some damage to the old S-linkage made it unplayable.

Your guide would have been perfect for helping my band director (or myself) to fix this problem and gain another working tuba. If you do any more projects like this one, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post a page to your website. :)
