1/ See if another piston fits into that casing, and with a reasonably good fit.
2/ Send the damaged piston, along with the "good" sample piston to Anderson Silver Plating, Elkhart, IN (attn: D.S.)
3/ Request that he resurface the damaged piston (remove scratches, build it back up to the proper size and a perfect cylinder, and re-nickel plate it) exactly to the same size as the "sample" undamaged one.
4/ When you get your valve(s) back, you may have to "lap" the newly-resurfaced piston into the casing with some LAVA soap suds.
5/ Of course, you'll have to deal with the careful removal/reinstallation of the valve guide.

This is not a "deluxe" repair, but should be a good one - and affordable.

If any steps are not clear - or scare you - you should simply have a good repair guy take care of this for you.
