...true. The only part of my horn that makes my hand black is the trigger for the 5th valve. Likewise, the only place on my horn where the silver is missing is...the trigger for the 5th vlave. So if silver makes your hands black, my thumb should be the only part that isn't black, not the only part that is.
If you polish the horn and don't get all the polich wiped off, then your hands will become black very quickly, along with your clothes.
