Why would a nickel plated horn be associated with either?
While the Olds Studio line wasn't the top of the line, it wasn't the botton either.
The lower end horns were offered in silver plated and laqured versions.
I do like the sound of my horn. (At least with someone else's lips. I sound bad on any trombone, be it a $100 horn, or a $5000 horn.)
And it's always been easy to maintain it's look.
