Anyone who's ever owned a Holton 345 --
Ever experimented w/different mouthpipes, to try and open up the low register (low G and below) and improve intonation (esp flat 3rd, 8th partials)? I've heard of folks trying a MW 45-SLP mouthpipe w/a MW 2165, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried this w/a Holton? Currently, I have the factory mouthpipe on the horn, albeit it's been spliced to accommodate an after-market 5th v. FWIW, the horn is a factory CC, and I'm using a Dillon M1C mouthpiece. Any suggestions/feedback appreciated.
