You might want to try the Miraphone C-6 mouthpiece. It is a Helleberg type mouthpiece with a very open backbore, a medium-deep cup and a thin rim. I found it to work very well on the Miraphone 185 CC and Miraphone 188 CC tuba, especially for the middle and low registers.
