This probably isn't what you want to read, but you might save yourself some grief if you take the horn to a qualified repair shop and have it fixed (it's probably a loose joint that needs to be resoldered). I had similar problems with my (then) new Besson euphonium. Rather than send the horn in for a warranty repair, I had it fixed locally. It cost a few bucks, but I had the horn back quickly and without having to deal with the company. Just remember your adventure the next time you are in the market for a new horn. I certainly will...
