Greetings fellow tubists. I just bought a very old King tuba serial number 52502. It is a silver bell front tuba. I believe it is a B flat due to the size and piston valves (3). I have been unable to play it due to the dirt inside of it. I am hoping to blow a bit tonight. It is in decent structural shape and I am hoping to fix it up as a project. Any idea about the age of the instrument of anything else that might prove beneficial would be greatly appreciated. Any idea as for what to use to get off the rust and clean out the inside would be fantatstic. Thank you.
