I too, spoke with Mr. Blahun and when he told me of the arrangment that he was making I advised him not to do so. I told him about my less than favorable impressions of the St. Petersburg tuba and also informed him about purchasing the instrument cheaper through Die Tuba. He seemed very surprised by my comments about these instruments, speaking as a professional trombone maker at SE Shires. My initial anger with certain retailers was tempered by the fact that despite Mr. Blahun being armed with such information he would STILL complete this transaction.
