I would recommend a chem. flush from a good repair shop. They will get the hard crusted scale build-up out of the slides and tubing, put all new corks and felts in the pistons and water-keys, properly lubricate all slides, pistons, and water-key hinge rods, replace any necessary springs, and possibly do some polishing for you. Though it may cost as much as $100, it's well worth the money. After all, what have you spent on it this far? Good luck with the new(old) horn!
