If memory serves, the replacement bells used to come with or without the wreath
or "bell ring" as recently as the late 80's. Perhaps unfortunately, the replacement bells also did not have serial numbers. Just a little more info to consider...try getting the horn into the arms of a long-time tubist who played those horns extensively in the 60's-early 70's....they'll perhaps be able to give you a feel for its vintage
