I have a 1911 Conn used to be a BBb now a CC 15J. The low pitch models had two extensions in the crooks of the main tuning slide. If this is the case with yours, they can be removed and the horn brought up to modern pitch. As far as the finish goes, I have also used the Hagerty's silver spray with great results. Another suggestion is rubbing alcohol and whiting compound. I used this on mine which has a satin silver finish and it worked great. Soft scrub and a very soft, damp cloth will also do the trick. As with colorfast fabrics, test in an inconspicuous area first. Good luck.
