Anyone out there - who is a member or who remembers " The Loyal Order
of S---P--- and Amalgamated Loyal Sons of McSorleys Marching Clam
Chowder Band " founded by Bill Bell ?
Meetings were held at McSorleys Saloon in The Bowery. Prospective
members were voted on and if accepted received a lifetime membership
card from President Bill Bell.
Meetings were called upon the discretion of President Bill Bell and
were held at the big round table in the back room of McSorleys Saloon.
There the world's problems were solved and everyone left the meeeting
with an enlightened attitude. The meeting was adjourned when President
Bill Bell decide to leave.
This may be trite, however, when I recall those days I am reminded of
an old adage : " Where is the heart that does not keep
within its innermost core
Some fond memory hidden deep
of days that are nomore. "

Wouldn't be a tribute to Bill Bell if we could rekindle the spark of
those days and have a reunion meeting at McSorleys Saloon for
a testimonial honor to Bill Bell ?

Respectfully,

George. Blahun.

Amalgamated Loyal Sons of McSorleys Maarching Clam Chowder Band "
