I don't know if I was the person you were refering to, but I would second that the Nirschl Eb is the best horn I have ever played. I haven't gotten to play the Willson, but I know that they do really high quality work they're euphs and contrabass tubas are some of the best I know. Marty Erickson sounded great on it on his "My Very Good Friend" Album. I like the 981 the best of the Bessons. I think that Fletcher played on a 982 with a 981 leadpipe. Good horns. . . Don't overlook the new Mirafone compensating Eb, they're pretty darn good for the price. I almost bought one, but tried out the Nirscl during my trial period with the Mirafone (and I decided it sounded too much like a CC for my only bass tuba) Hope some of this helps. . .
