How much does your West Coast dealer want to sell a Conn 52J for? I gaurantee you we do not sell below the posted confidential dealer cost. Some stores figure a percentage pofit margin and if they can't make it, they figure it is a loss. Well it takes as long to sell a trumpet for $1000 as it does a tuba for $5995. Dale, I think you are getting fed a line. I have an old high school budy who owns a music store in Maryland. He's not interested in selling anything below a certain percentage profit margin. His store is successfull, but he won't stock a tuba because he can't sell it and "keep his margin". Each merchant has a right to do business the way they seem fit. Hey, if someone wants to sell below cost, maybe they think they can make it up in volume. (Business humor)
