I think I buy those plastic pencil clips from K & M. I've seen them offered for as much as $5. on the web, but that price is inflated and actually I think they are only about $1.25 in my store. The next-to-largest size that they make is handy for clipping on most tubas.

I don't know about a grime gutter, but if you are handy, you could make a wood or pvc mold which represents the outside curves and proper spacing of the #1 and #4 valve casings of you EEb, coat your wood or pvc pipe mold in a liquid product called Plasti-Dip (which dries and becomes plasticized), pull it off of the mold and line it (after it dries) with felt, and by this manufacture your own custom grime gutter.
