Speaking of "resting on your body"...I tried several strap ideas, several of which worked fine. But they all had one fatal flaw that kept me from using them. The horn resting on my "front" was not stable when I took a breath. (I ain't fat, but when I breath, well, you know!) The horn would constantly move up and down and affect my embouchure. It was ultimately more trouble than it was worth and I decided to sit on a stool when the rest of the group was standing.

What I would really like is something more like a bass-drum thing that rests on both shoulders and when the horn was connected, kept the horn a couple of inches OFF the body. Maybe combine this with some sort of "waist-thingy" that would connect to the bottom ring and rest on a padded "C" that was used on the waist or hip-bones, under the "stomach" or breathing area, to help keep the horn off the body. Kinda like this :

T __B
U_____/ O
B \__D
A Y

Anyone know of such a contraption?
