I need some input please. I have my eye on an older MW2155 rotor in like new shape and a newer MW2145 piston (big valve type). They are both within my budget. I play in an orchestra, pit orchestras and a brass quintet. I would like to move to CC and am really having a problem trying to decide on which instrument will serve my purposes best. I have read everything in the archives but sure would like to get some direct comments regarding my conundrum. What are the plus and minus's of these two horns and is there a better way to go. My budget is 4k-5k.The horns are on the east coast and I am on the west coast so I will have to rely on someone local to try out the horns. One other question, is there a music store that has a good selection of tubas on the west coast, maybe SFO area, that would allow me to try them.
