I was in one of the bands competing in the championship division in DC a few weeks ago. Master's of Space and Time was a wonderful tune to work on. I really like the tune. My question...anyone bother to drop some octaves? I know you will be sent to hell for admitting it...but it seems that in these times, Broughton outta know what the tuba is used for in brass bands and scored some low stuff in there that he knew we would probably take down anyways. That would solve the crisis on here...if the composers will just write crap low. I know that the British tradition is to drop octaves, and if the best in England do it, I am going to do it, too. Also, any English bands get hold of this tune yet? What are you going to do? Don't yell at me!
