Well I'll jump into the ring here.....

I was just tasked with buying a new horn for the college where I teach. The stipulation was to buy a CC horn that incoming students could use until they bought their own. It obviously needed to be a general purpose type instrument they could use for everything from solos to quintet to ensembles.

I basically started out with four horns in mind: MW2145 and 2155, PT4P and the new Conn 52J. To make a long story short, I eventually purchased the 2145. I like it MUCH better than the PT4p in just about every area - it's much easier to play and has a much darker sound. The low range pops right out and you can push it pretty far volume-wise before it breaks up. The 2155 is even better in this regard but it felt a little large for everyday use as a solo instrument. The Conn is also a great instrument - probably the most free blowing of the bunch.

Anyway, try them all and see what you like best. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.
