I agree here. I just sent an instrument that I sold at a well-known internet auction site off to have it "encoldened" at the request of the customer, prior to the customer even seeing or playing the instrument.

I agree with Chuck. The really extensive cleaning job (mentioned in detail on the website) prior to the other operation greatly improves the instruments that they work with. My best guess is that the cleaning is 99.99999999999999999999 % of the benefit.

As to the specific instrument that I just sold, it was already clean, so ...
