No the York is not the one that was recently offered on E-***.
But, I am thinking about selling it there.
The intonation is quite good on this horn.
The only noticable problem is the second space C.
When fingered 1st valve it is a bit sharp.
OK for fast passages, but for sustained notes I
generaly use 13. Brings it right in.
The York is a favorite of conductors around here.
They love the sound. Big and mellow. Really puts the bottom
on an ensemble!
I used it when I did Chicago, The Musical in Scranton
last year.
On the Friday evening show I used the Yamaha Eb.
After the show, the Vince (the conductor) asked me to
bring back the big horn. He loved the sound!!
