I did that two years ago. My advice would be to go to some vendors (Baltimore Brass, TE,
Brasswind, Dillon, that have horns. I went to two and was very surprised at how many
horns weren't as good as the piggy I had. I ended up with a Rudy from the Brasswind
because I fell in love with the sound. The piggy is an interesting horn with its large
bore but relatively small throat and bell and a good one is quite versatile. Try some
horns but don't buy until you fall in love with one.
