After all the discussion of microphones and MD recorders, I was wondering if anyone has actually compared the results of this high-end Sony vs. the high-end Audio Technica. Has anyone tried them one after the other in the same room with the same MD or DAT and compared the results?
Rick Denney, I remember you posted that your sound engineer buddy said that the AT was "a real mic" or something along those lines. Has your friend tried the two and compared results? I like the Sony but have problems with it peaking out on loud F tuba stuff (high Eb in Sym. Fan. Mvt. IV, e.g.). Does the AT do this?
