The loop in the first valve tubing, the keyhole shape of the #2 slide, and the huge looping wrap of the 3rd valve all support your observation that this horn is actually much longer than it looks at first glance.

That looks like a really interesting horn to play. I wonder how much the sound differs from the "classic" German F sound, as it surely must have a completely different feel from anything I've ever played. I don't really see how this thing could be pitched any higher than F. If it's 53 cm from bell to bow, and it's wrapped 4 times after the valve cluster, well, do a rough guess at the math.
