That's absolutely true Joe. One of the modifications I made to my 601 was to bore the valves and ports out to the full .835 bore of the rest of the horn. It would appear that Cervany uses .795 valves on almost all their instruments, regardless of the leadpipe bore differences between their various models. I imagine they only make one size of valve for their tuba production but I really don't know for sure. It's not the kind of question I was inclined to ask them.
