Our cat got into my RB bag and decided to do some irrigation over the period of several days ("What's that awful smell coming from my horn?"). I used one of the enzyme preparations (available at most pet stores) on the affected area and then washed the entire bag in the bathtub in warm water with Woolite added. I was careful to rinse several times and then hung the bag outside in the sun to dry. The padding doesn't absorb as much water as you think it will. A day later it was odor-free and back in service. That was two years ago and the bag is still doing fine--and I keep it zipped up when it's not holding my tuba.

But the durned Cordura still picks up cat (and golden retriever) hair like a magnet. Wish there was a good solution for that one!
