The newest 321's have remarkably smooth valves; the transition between pitches when moving valves is beautiful. However, the metal is still way too thin, the horn is still too poorly balanced, and the intonation is still a bit funky.

The 641's are good horns, far better than their reputation. However, if you're spending that much money on a BBb horn, I still think you're far better off with a Meinl-Weston 25, which you can get for under $4000 without case from several sources. It's just a better horn in almost every respect.
