Switching between C and BBb tubas

Hi everyone!
I'm soon scheduled to get a C tuba. I'm told it's difficult to switch between a C and BBb tuba due to fingerings, but in my situation, it seems to be impossible to avoid going back and forth. I'm in highschool band and my school, of course, used BBb tubas. I'm planning on using my C for everything but in band playing (marching, UIL concerts, ect.), but I'm concerned I won't be able to make an easy transition from one to the other. I'll have all summer to get used to the C fingerings (oh how the summers get shorter and shorter due to school and band....), but then the fun begins. Since I'm planning on using C for Region and Solo and other various auditions, I don't want to have fingering problems slipping me up.
Are there any tips out there in Tubenet land to help my situation or am I doomed to putting up with this for the next couple years?
Thanks to all input ^_^ !

Tracy H.
