I reguraly play BBb, EEb, Trumpet and Euphonium both treble and basss clef.
I find that switching between EEb and BBb on the fly is real tough on my mind.
If I am playing Eb at one siting, I have no problems.
If I play BBb wether it be Tuba, Euphonius or trumpet I can switch at will.
I think it has something to do with getting the pitch centers of the open notes in my head.
I have tried improvisational Dixie with the EEb but have problems.
BBb Dixie is no problem.
I guess I just have a BBb tuned brain!
Different sets of fingerings just happen!
