Hi Les,
I think that just about everyone has this problem from time to time . When it bothers me
it seems o help to simply use air as it's needed and to try to avoid over feeding the
lips or craming air past the lips. ( Does that maybe ring a bell with you during this
burbling thing?) Also , it often happens to me too while I'm playing the Rochut from the trombone book! I think that you may be setting up the air for the notes you're seeing
rather that the notes that you're going to sound . It seems like that often happens to me when I'm playing stuff down an octave that's written more in the trombone register or even when I'm playing stuff in treble cleff.
Mostly seems to go away faster when I just don't worry about it and keep on playing the
way I know is about right.
Take it easy and hope this goes away for you.
