What works better for me is I put a half inflated basketball with a towell around it in the bell and then put it in the case and then inflate the basketball as tight as I can and close the case. I also dict tape the case in several places in case latches get broke.
i just take a bicycle tire pump w me in my suit case to get it back.
This acts as a shock absorber and I have never had bell damage.
