Just like when Disney auditions students and doesn't hire them because they don't play well enough, but when they come back a year later after they have lost weight and play the same and get hired, then are told that overweight people don't get hired because they will not have a costume to fit them. Then when they are getting fitted, they find there are plenty of costumes big enough and the king people in costuming are more than happy to help make something fit! Disney is very sneaky in its ways of employment when it comes to entertainment. Think twice if you want to seek full time employment there. By the way, if anyone wants to do this and thinks he/she will be able to fall back on sidework in the Orlando area, watch out. As Jay has mentioned earlier, there are a lot of musicians for very few jobs. Many of these guys are excellent players. All the jobs are always taken months in advance, even the $50 ones. Count on plenty of good listening opportunities, but few playing ones. Even the free/volunteer stuff has a hint of competition to it. I think if you talk with most of the musicians who were or are at the parks, you'll find them fairly unhappy with their situation.
