Matt Garbutt was Gene Pokorny’s predecessor in the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and has been the principal tubaist with the San Diego Symphony for 25 years. Matt is not only an outstanding tubaist but he is also the assistant conductor of the San Diego Symphony. He is incredibly talented and a nice man to boot!
