I can't tell from the pictures, but it is possible that the leadpipe was replaced or moved so that it was lower. I would think that someone short enough to play this horn upright must look lilliputian compared to the horn, but what if you played the horn *sideways*? It would but the centre of mass in your lap (a good thing) as you played. Don't laugh - someone actually did this to a very big HB that I now have.
