Mine's a little older than yours--178177-A. I've no idea of what the "A" means. Great horn--I did try it with a borrowed upright bell scavenged from a 2XJ, but I like the "punch" of the recording bell better. One remarkable thing is that the intonation is very even--no really out-of-whack notes on such a large horn.
