I like the low register on my Cerveny 601. There are no bad notes on down to a good distance below pedal C. However, it's a bear to get really high notes on, as you would expect from a 6/4 horn.

I used to get good low notes from a Meinl-Weston model 25 BBb. It's a 4/4 horn, but it has a meaty sound and a very easy extended high and low range. Its problem note for me was the C a step above pedal Bb. I could only get it using false tones; the 1234 valve combination wouldn't speak for me.
