My 191 has a phenominal low register and now with the heavy valve caps, WOW.

They are right about the old Conn's, I played one all 4 years in high school and never felt like i had a bad tuba. I loved mine and always had the bell up attached to it.

I will tell you that my 191 has the best response of all the BBb tubas I have played in the new tubas and all registers pop.

We all look for different characteristics in a tuba and Aren't we glad we do or this would be a boring world and alot of boring tuba sections.

I personally do not like the sound of CC's anymore after playing them 25 years and then going back to BBb. I play them and say to myself... Why did I ever change, but we all need to play what makes each of us happy so just play, talk and brag and have fun. Isn't that what it is about? Who cares what who plays and how old it is. I love seeing the old tubas show up in sections. The spice is what makes life.

Find some spice of your own and make great tuba music.
