yeah, i'm a grad performance major and i just had mono last semester. I knew something was really wrong and even passed out one time (not from tuba playing) but doctors didn't know what it was. a month and a half after i got the horrible bad throat mono usually starts with i tested positive for mono and i was nearing the end of it. i thought i had a motivation problem because practicing wasn't going so well the whole time. i guess all that means is that i played through it the whole time and just got winded easy and making myself practice wasn't easy. I'm guessing you'll be fine, if you feel winded stop for a while. i took many more short breaks while i was practicing. good thing your recital is over
