I think you'll get very mixed feelings about this. Why would you cut a good BBb tuba, when it plays well? I am still unsure why people feel that they need to play CC tuba rather than BBb. If you happen to get your hands on a york, or holton.. why not play it as BBb? 6/4 Bbb tubas lay just as well as CC tubas, and there's no real need for the 5th valve... bsides some intonation stuff. I'd hate to see a wonderful BBb tuba cut to make a mediocre CC...

Be careful when doing this... you could potentially ruin a great horn.. or a horn that could be made to be great, as BBb.
