I play horn books all the time, as well as duets with horn players (on an F tuba, no transposing required). They have a lot of great stuff from which to choose; Alphonse (expensive), Kopprasch (yes, he was a horn player), Pottage, and many others. Horns have an amazing range and are expected to play musically at each end of the spectrum. Fun books. Woodwind books are also an interesting challenge. Intermediate level books for sax and clarinet can be a real eye-opener.
Note: If you get horn duets, they will sound a bit muddy on BBb & CC tuba, but sound quite nice on Eb & F. If you have an F and can play with a horn player, they will drive you nuts with their ability to cover the extremes with apparent ease. Nice work if you can get it!
