At a brass workshop in Hamilton, Ontario Yamaha exhibited such a tuba. I complained that it was not an automatically compensating tuba as were various Besson, Alexanders, Hirshbrunners, Gronitzs etc. I asked if they made a real compensating tuba. At the same workshop a few years later Yamaha exhibited a real compensating tuba in Eb/BBb and it was an extremely good instrument.
