I'm an amature, that being said, my community band had to hire a few Union Musicians to fill in a couple of our weak spots. I could not believe how bad SOME of them were, the ones that could play, PLAYED! How many bad musicians play in the union? Before, "Union Musician" meant to me that these guys/gals are good enough to get payed to play most without rehearsals. Boy was I surprised, I believe, if these players are average Union Musicians than hell sign me up!
